82, Fontbonne 78 Brianne Schoonover made two free throws with :08 to go to ice the victory. Schoonover had 15 of her 19 points in the second half, making all five shots from the field and all five from the line. Holly Mohs had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Knights, who shot 58% from the field in the second half and 54% on the game (28-for-52). Megan Mulvihill had 14 of her 21 points in the second half and Melissa Steward had 13 of her 20 points in the second half and added six assists for the Lady Griffins. The Knights (26-4) ran their winning streak to 21 and halted a 17-game win streak by Fontbonne, which finished 21-7. Mulvihill's 3-pointer with 1:34 left pulled Fontbonne within 78-74. Steward made two free throws with 36 seconds to play to cut the lead to 78-76. Lisa Rasmusson answered with two free throws for Wartburg for an 80-76 lead with 25 seconds left, but Steward made two more free throws with :18 to play for an 80-78 deficit. Schoonover's last two free throws sealed the victory. |
