What does it take to win a national title? We asked ... Andrew Olson, Amherst
Now: Senior point guard, Amherst men's basketball team To win a national championship, you need ... Confidence and "To win a national championship you need confidence and perseverance. Our team had already had a successful season but it was the previous years that gave us the confidence to realize that we could not only make it to the Final Four but have success and win a championship. As for perseverance, it is just as necessary. Being a team that lost two crucial games, one being our conference championship game, to our rival, it was necessary to persevere in order to accomplish the ultimate goal. I believe that these two aspects were not only vital to our team’s success on the court but off the court, as it help shape our team’s identity.” |
