The contest was tied five times in the first half, including 13-13 with 11:28 remaining. UW-Stout led 22-20 with 6:06 left when it went on a 18-7 run to finish the half and lead 40-27.
The Blue Devils opened the second half on a 7-2 run to lead 47-29 with 17:49 remaining and led by as many as 25 at 67-32 with 6:43 left. The Eagles could get no closer than the final margin of 16 points.
Nicole Palmer led UW-L with 13 points and became the school's career leader in three-point field goals made as she finished two-of-seven. She now has 98 career three-point field goals, breaking the record of 97 set by Tammie Lukes (1995-99). Mackenzie Hunter added 11 points for the Eagles. UW-L shot 36.1% from the field, including 30.8% (four-of-13) from three-point range. The Eagles were four-of-16 (25.0%) at the free throw line.
Kelsey Duoss led UW-Stout with 16 points and seven rebounds. Joanna Bird and Savanah Oeltjen each had 10 points. UW-Stout shot 43.4% from the field, including 30.8% (four-of-13) from three-point range. The Blue Devils were 18-of-26 (69.2%) at the line.
