Sara Moody paced Macalester (0-3, 0-1 MIAC) with 17 boards, five rebounds and three steals. Sara Entgelmeier added 10 points and seven rebounds.
Bethel shot 54% from the field and knocked down 10 of 16 from three-point range (including seven of nine in the second half). The Royals shot 66% in the second half to pull away from a 36-20 halftime lead.
Up 16-12 midway through the first half, the Royals ran off 13 straight points to go up 29-12 with 4:33 left in the period. A 16-point halftime advantage (36-20) quickly grew to 30 when Bethel out-scored the Scots 18-4 over the first seven minutes of the second half.
Macalester plays Saturday (Dec. 4) at St. Thomas, while Bethel is home against St. Catherine.
