Baruch (4-1, 0-1 CUNYAC) let a late five-point advantage slip away in the final minutes as a three-pointer by Krystin Suarez tied the game at 72 apiece with 3.5 seconds left in regulation.
Hunter (2-2, 1-0 CUNYAC) added to their momentum in overtime to score 11 total points to pull away for the victory.
The Bearcats attempted 19 more shots in the game (28-90 FG) than Hunter (29-71 FG), and also struggled from behind the arc shooting only 2-for-18 compared to 6-of-14 for Hunter.
Racquel Reid scored 14 points and hauled down 12 rebounds, while Diane Ramirez scored nine points and dished out five assists before fouling out late in the game.
Suarez led Hunter with 22 points (8-9 FT) and Jessica Proscia added 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The women will look to put the loss behind them as they next face John Jay in a home game on Tuesday. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Faculty/Staff Day in the ARC Gym.
