Freshman guard NICOLE PALAZZO (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) grabbed 12 (nine defensive), junior forward JoANN WOODRUFF (Central Islip, NY/Central Islip) hauled down 11, and senior guard JEN MOORE (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) had 10.

NJCU shot 32.1 percent from the field for the game (25-of-78). The Eagles made only three field goals in the first period (3-of-19), shooting 15.8 percent, and were slightly more accurate in the second half, before finishing below 20 percent (10-of-52, 19.2 percent). Six of SJC’s 12 first-half points came from the line. For the game, NJCU owned a 40-4 margin in bench scoring, and 30-14 in the paint. The Knights also held a 54-46 rebounding edge, including 21-12 on the offensive glass.
