Duoss led all scorers with 16 points, getting 10 points in the second half, while Oeltjen finished as the game's second leading scorer with 13 points, nailing down all three of her 3-point attempts for the bulk of her points.
The win gave Stout (6-2, 1-2 WIAC) their 18th consecutive win over the Eagles (4-3, 0-2), but more importantly, it snapped a two-game conference losing streak.
The game was a streaky one, with both team mounting comebacks throughout the contest. The Eagles held the early lead, but Stout came back to build a 35-21 halftime lead as La Crosse was nearly stone cold from the floor, shooting 23 percent in the first stanza.
Stout held the lead throughout the entire second half, but the Eagles cut the lead to as little as four points, 54-50, with five minutes left. Stout finally pulled away in the final 20 seconds, collecting just enough free throws, never making a pair.
While the Eagles held a 55-44 edge in rebounds, Stout did a knockout job blocking shots, pounding back 12 shots. Duoss had five blocked shots, while Lindsey Erichsen, who contributed 11 points, had four blocked shots.
The Eagles got 12 points from Shawna Koss and 10 points from Katy Searing. Katie Ryan had a game-high 10 rebounds.
