Trinity led Hendrix by three points, 14-11, at the 12:50 mark of the first half, but then used a 13-0 run to extend the lead to 27-11 with 7:35 to play. From that point, the two teams played evenly but Trinity still maintained a 13 point lead at half.
Trinity extended the lead to 16 (40-24), which was the largest deficit of the game for the Warriors with16:30 to play. Hendrix then went on an 11-2 run to close the gap to 7 points before Trinity answered right back with a 12-4 run.
With 7:00 to play, Hendrix trailed by 15, 39-54. The Warriors closed the game on a 18-4 run before coming up short powered by the play of Sophomore Erin McKenzie. McKenzie scored three buckets during the stretch and blocked two shots on the defensive end.
McKenzie finished with a game high 19 points to go along with 2 blocked shots and 7 boards. Freshman Tori Huggins went for 17 points making two three-pointers.
Junior Tara Rohde led Trinity with 15 points going 5 for 6 from the field. Allison Wooley scored 7 points, pulled down 10 boards, and had 5 steals in the win.
