Baruch controlled the play allowing only 14 first half points and limited the Beavers to 20 percent (13-60) shooting the entire game.
City College (8-10, 6-4) made a late run to cut the lead to five points (41-36) with 2:20 left, but Stamatiades hit two free throws and Daina-Marie Henry hit a big three-pointer with 59 seconds left to put the game away.
Rahmat Balogun was the high scorer for the Beavers with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
The win ends a three-game losing streak for Baruch.
They will return to action on Saturday afternoon as they travel to the Bronx to face Lehman College. Tip off is scheduled for Noon.
