Simpson scored 51 first half points on 19-26 shooting (73.1%). The Storm cooled off a bit in the second half (12-30) and were 55.4% for the game. Simpson, which shot just 47 percent from the free throw line on Friday against Coe, was 21-28 from the charity stripe against the Rams.
Amanda Pilcher led all scorers with 18 points. Tessa Van Oosbree tied her career high with 16 points. The 5-9 freshman from Algona was 8-8 from the field. She also added a game high five assists. Ashley Bogaards scored 15 for the Storm.
Cornell was led by Katie Morris who had 13.
