Competing in the North Central Tip-Off Classic, the host school won for the second straight night, shooting 60 percent from the floor in the second half while Central hit just 34.5 percent for the night.
Center Ashley Nekola sank nine of nine free throw attempts and topped Central’s charts with 17 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Guard Aimee Schmidt had 13 points and two steals, while guards Rachel Lenox and Katy Paxton each had seven points.
Central, 0-2, was outrebounded, 40-30 and North Central came up with 17 steals.
The Dutch play their home season opener Tuesday against St. Olaf College (Minn.). Game time is 4:30 p.m. at Kuyper Gym.
