Senior K.J. Krasco (Medford, Mass.) led the way for Colby-Sawyer, scoring a game-high 17 points and adding six rebounds. Krasco went a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line and hitting three of six shots from the floor, including a three-pointer. Kristen Sorensen (Coventry, Conn.) added 16 points, three rebounds and three steals for the Chargers.
Colby-Sawyer held a 21-14 advantage midway through the first half and used an 11-2 run to take their largest lead of the first half, 32-16 with 5:50 left in the first half after a pair of free throws from Krasco.
The Chargers' largest lead of the game came at the 12:37 mark of the second half when senior Halary Patch (Glen, N.H.) hit a pair of free-throws to give the team a 54-28 advantage. The Chargers then held on for the 69-51 victory, as all 12 Charger players who entered the game scored at least two points.
Johnson & Wales (0-4) junior Karen Thureson (Canton, Conn.) scored 11 points to lead the Wildcats, while classmate Dawn Knowles (Dexter, N.Y.) added seven points and a game-high 16 rebounds.
Colby-Sawyer (3-1) will open Commonwealth Coast Conference play on Saturday, December 4, when they travel to Nichols. Game time is 1 p.m.
