With the game tied 12-12 seven minutes into the contest, Buena Vista went on a 10-0 run and never saw its lead slip under seven points the rest of the way. During that stretch, Lindsey Meyer hit two key three-point shots. She ended the day with a season-high 11 points.
Buena Vista, which led 40-33 at halftime, was unable to put Colorado College away for the majority of the second half. Leading 68-56 with just under five minutes to play, the Beavers went on a 15-4 run to seal the victory.
Maguire, who made five of nine 3-point shots, had seven rebounds and seven assists to go along with her 22 points. Staley poured in 21 points and yanked down a game-high 14 rebounds. Buena Vista held a commanding 52-33 edge on the glass.
Melanie Auguste and Paige Whitney each scored 11 points to lead Colorado College, which fell to 4-3 on the season. The Tigers shot just 34% (22 of 65) from the field.
Buena Vista improved to 3-3 with the victory and has won three of its last four games. The Beavers now lead the all-time series between the two schools 7-2. Buena Vista will return home on Thursday to host Martin Luther College.
