The Bloodhounds shot 53.6 percent (15-28 FG) to take a a 31-30 lead into the locker at halftime.
However, the Bearcats (5-1, 2-0 CUNYAC) responded in the second half with 4-of-6 shooting on three-pointers to lead 49-40.
That lead would help cushion their advantage the rest of the game, as they built as many as a 14 point lead with two minutes left.
Chiresse Paradise (Chicago, IL/Rich Central) had 16 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three blocks. Diane Ramirez (Sunnyside, NY/Francis Lewis) dished out six assists and notched three steals.
The Bearcats shot 50 percent (16-32) in the second half.
Liesel-Ann Amow (Brooklyn, NY/ Boys and Girls) led the way for the Bloodhounds with 25 points on 10-for-20 shooting.
The women's team will return to action this Thursday with a conference home game against CCNY. Tip off in the ARC Arena is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
