The Eagles, ranked 19th on D3hoops.com, took a 2-0 lead on a Abby Johnson jumper with 19:21 remaining in the first half and didn't lead again until Katy Searing hit the game-winning jumper with :26 left in the game.
Chapman led 5-4 early in the game before going on a 12-0 run to lead 17-4 with 11:43 remaining. The Panthers led 25-12 with 5:10 left in the opening half before the Eagles went on a 9-2 run to cut the deficit to 27-21 at halftime.
The Panthers led by as many as 11 early in the second half. UW-L trailed 41-32 with 9:39 left before a 8-0 run cut it to 41-40 with 5:24 remaining. Chapman led 48-43 with just under four minutes left and 49-45 with :52 remaining. Nicole Palmer hit a three-pointer with :35 left to cut the lead to 49-48 before Searing scored her game-winning basket with :26 left.
Kristen Chidley missed a three-pointer with :14 remaining for Chapman.
Johnson recorded a double-double for UW-L with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Searing added 11 points and eight rebounds. Palmer had eight points and seven rebounds.
UW-L shot 39.6% from the field, including 40.0% (two-of-five) from three-point range. The Eagles were 10-of-16 (62.5%) at the free throw line.
Blaire Camarda led Chapman with 14 points. Jennifer Pineda had 11 points and six rebounds while Sarah Brands finished with 10 points and seven rebounds. Ashley Shorts had 10 rebounds.
Chapman shot 33.9% from the field, including 37.5% (six-of-16) from three-point range. The Panthers were five-of-nine (55.6%) at the line.
