The St. Olaf women's basketball team went 6-for-10 from the three-point line and forced 13 turnovers in the second half beating Hamline University 75-55 Wednesday night in Skoglund Center.
Molly Simon (Sr., Hudson, Wis.) netted 11 points, including three three-pointers, all in the second half as St. Olaf pulled away from their 35-31 halftime lead.
The Oles had three other players in double figures: Holly Grimsrud (So., Zumbrota, Minn./ Zumbrota-Mazeppa) had a game high 15 points and six assists, Jenny Dettle (So., Fridley, Minn.) came off the bench and contributed 12 points, and Christina Sampson (So., North Branch, Minn.) finished with a double-double 13 points and ten boards.
Defensively, St. Olaf held Laurisa Ewert, the MIAC's fifth leading scorer and leading rebounder to nine points and seven boards. Christine Schwichtenberg (Jr., Hopkins, Minn.) had four steals.
The Oles take on Bethel University at home Saturday afternoon beginning at 1 p.m.
