Baruch 66, John Jay 38NEW YORK — Baruch defeated John Jay, 66-38, on Saturday afternoon to win their eighth consecutive game and 18th overall this basketball season.
Jody Trapp led the way with 19 points, four assists, and six steals, while Ally Stamatiades added 14 points and Racquel Reid 12 points. Baruch (18-3, 10-1 CUNYAC) opened the road game with a 21-5 run on their way to a 32-16 halftime lead. John Jay (3-19, 2-8 CUNYAC) struggled from the field shooting 18-of-51, including 0-of-7 from three-point range. Baruch will return to action this Monday night with a non-conference home game against Stevens Tech. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the ARC.
