It was a game that wasn't pretty to watch:
· Polytechnic was in no hurry offensively, often running 25-plus seconds off the shot clock before shooting.
· The halftime score was 27-15 in favor of D'Youville.
· Polytechnic made just five first half field goals on 23 shots (21.7%).
· D'Youville committed 26 turnovers in the game, 15 in the second half.
· Both teams combined for only 15 second half-field goals.
· Both teams combined to go 11-41 (26.8%) from behind the three-point line.
D'Youville center Justin Cooke (Sr./Lanham, MD/Albert Einstein), playing in his final home game, collected a game-high 9 rebounds and scored 8 points. Kyle Ward (Jr./Lafayette, IN/Central Catholic) led the Spartans in scoring for the second straight game with 14 points.
The Spartans have two of their last three and improve to 7-13 overall and 4-7 in the NEAC.
Polytechnic (4-15, 1-9) received a game-high 16 points from Christopher Jean (Sr./Queens, NY).
