Maguire's three pointer 13 seconds into the game set the tone as Buena Vista led from wire to wire. Maguire scored 23 points and dished out five assists. Kapler tallied 24 points and eight rebounds. Kelli Staley registered her third double-double of the year with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Ashley Bogaards came off the Simpson bench to score a team-high 18 points. Katelyn Whiton notched 11 as Simpson's bench outscored its starters 42-30.
Buena Vista nailed 17 of 18 from the free throw line. The Beavers held a 43-36 rebounding edge over Simpson, who fell to 18-6, 11-4 in the IIAC.
