Baruch led at halftime by the score of 35-31, but Illinois Wesleyan stormed out of the intermission with an 18-4 run for a 10-point lead (49-39) at the 12:48 mark.
Baruch (8-2) cut the lead to three (53-50) on a lay up by Jessenia Marrero with 8:13 remaining, but a 13-3 run by Illinois Wesleyan during the next five minutes sealed the victory.
Karie Blonn scored 15 points and Amanda Glerum added 11 points for Illinois Wesleyan (7-4), who shot 59 percent (16-27) in the second half.
Freshman guard Chiresse Paradise led Baruch (8-2) with 19 points, Diane Ramirez had 14 points, and Marrero added 11 points and three assists.
