Trinity (10-1), which is ranked eighth nationally according to the latest D3hoops.com poll, led 28-22 at the half. The Tigers held Dallas to just 26.1% shooting in the game, while hitting 25-59 (42.4%) themselves.
Amy Howe led all scorers with a career-high 21 points for the Tigers, hitting 7-11 from the field and 5-6 from the line (also 2-4 threes). Howe also had three assists, and played in just 22 minutes.
Tara Rohde hit 7-12 from the floor for 14 points, as well as grabbing six boards and swatting two blocks. Jennifer Farrar and Lauren Andrews each chipped in with eight points.
Ana Castillo led Dallas with 18 points on 5-8 shooting (7-8 from the line), and a game-high 14 rebounds for a standout double-double. Kristy Malone also chipped in with 13 points, as the pair accounted for 31 of the team's 41 points.
Trinity will face Hendrix and Rhodes in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference this weekend. The Tigers are currently 1-0 in SCAC play.
