Concordia-Moorhead 85, St. Catherine's 68

MOORHEAD, Minn. — Concordia pressured undermanned St. Catherine into 24 turnovers and ran away with an 85-68 victory. The Wildcats, playing without two of their best players, gave up 23 points off their 24 turnovers, and also allowed the Cobbers to score 24 points on second chance points.
With the win, the Cobbers even their MIAC record to 3-3 and improve to 5-4 overall. St. Kate's falls for the sixth time in the last eight games and drops to 2-5 in conference play and 3-6 overall.

The Wildcats opened the game with the first two points, and did not lead after that point. After the initial basket, the Cobbers went on a 16-0 run and then cruised to a 41-20 lead at halftime. In the second half, St. Kate's outscored Concordia 48-44 but could never get closer than 16 points.

Jamie Visness paced Concordia with a season-high 20 points as all 15 players on the Cobber roster received playing time. Mandy Pearson scored 12 points and dished out eight assists. Leanne White came off the bench to score nine points and grab a team-high, seven rebounds. Annie Keeley broke out of her outside shooting slump. After going without a 3-point basket in the past two games, she hit two-of-three shots behind the arc and finished with 11 points.

St. Kate's placed three players in double figures. Sarah Schneider posted a team-high 17 points, while Shelly Soule added 12 points and Kate Bremmer contributed 10 points. Rebecca Theis hauled down a game-high nine rebounds.
