Baruch (9-2, 3-1 CUNY) held off an upstart Lightning with a strrong second half. Lehman (8-5, 2-2 CUNY) led 24-22 at the half, before a 6-0 run by Baruch to open the second half.
Baruch took a 49-41 lead with 6:08 remaining before a 7-0 run by the Lightning cut the Bearcat lead to 49-48 with four minutes to go.
In the final seconds of the second half, sophomore Kristy Faust missed a desperation three-point attempt, and Baruch's junior center Racquel Reid converted on one of four free throws to create the final margin.
Lehman was led by the inside presence of freshman Maria Loor. Loor finished with a team high 14 points, to go along with 13 rebounds. Faust finished with 13 points, while sophomore Shatasia Little added 12 points.
In addition to Paradise, and Marrero, junior guard Diana Ramirez added 10 points in the win.
