DePauw never trailed and broke free from a 2-2 tie with 12 straight over a three-minute span. They still held a 19-9 lead after the Majors' Ali Sturgis scored on a layup with 10:32 left in the first half.
Jordan Cuddy started the run with a three-pointer before Sarah Zondor hit two free throws and a three-pointer. Bridget Bailey, Caitlin McGonigal and Gretchen Haehl followed with baskets before Liz Bondi hit two free throws to make it 35-9 with 1:41 left in the half. The Tigers led 39-13 at the break after holding the Majors to just 18 percent shooting from the field.
The Tigers opened the second half with an 11-2 run and led by as many as 44 in the half. DePauw finished by shooting 45 percent from the floor to Millsaps' 21 percent and the Tigers outrebounded the Majors 53-26.
"We defended well today," DePauw head coach Kris Huffman said. "We've been working on it the last week and we took them (Millsaps) out of some things they wanted to do."
McGonigal was the lone double-figure scorer for the Tigers as 14 of the 18 DePauw players who played reached the scorebook. Bondi led the Tigers with a career-high eight rebounds, while Zondor matched a career best with seven boards. Lindsay Houin established a career high with six assists in the victory.
Martha McDaniel paced Millsaps with 10 points, while Miranda Rosar grabbed six rebounds and Sara Greer totaled four assists.
