Trailing 19-7, Stout's Lindsey Geissler hit a 3-pointer to start the run, then contributed 14 points in the run as the Blue Devils (11-5, 4-3) held a 41-25 halftime lead. The closest the Blugolds would get would be 12 points early in the second half.
Eau Claire (10-6, 3-4) shot 38 percent (11-of-29) in the first half, but the Stout defense pestered the Blugolds into shooting only 19 percent (6-of-31) in the second half.
Lindsey Erichsen also was a big contributor to Stout's run, tossing in nine of her 16 points in the 12 minutes span. Erichsen was outstanding at the free throw line, hitting 10-of-11 charity shots. Erichsen's 16 points put her career totals at 999 points.
Lindsey Geissler finished the night with 16 points, as did Kelsey Duoss. Duoss recorded her third double-double of season, adding 10 rebounds.
The Blue Devils controlled the boards, pulling down 48 rebounds to 38 for Eau Claire. Stout took away a number of Eau Claire's second chances by grabbing 35 defensive rebounds to Eau Claire's 25.
Eau Claire's Rachel Becker tossed in 16 points and Katie Murphy added 14.
Fueled by Geissler, Stout's bench outscored Eau Claire's bench, 35-10. Liz Eldred and Joanna Bird each came off the bench to add eight points. Eldred twice picked an Eau Claire guard's pocket and went coast-to-coast for the easy lay-up.
