BROOKLYN, NY — The Baruch Bearcats (11-3, 5-1 CUNY) stormed out of the gate 20-0 over the first 6 ½ minutes on their way to an 86-39 victory over New York City College of Technology (6-7, 3-3 CUNY) in a CUNYAC matchup at the Klitgord Center today.
Freshman guard Cherisse Paradise (Rich Central/Chicago, IL) and sophomore forward Ally Stamatiades (Bryant/Astoria, NY) each had six points in the opening rally and finished with 20 and 10 points, respectively. Junior center Racquel Reid (Washington Irving/Bronx, NY) chipped in with 14 points and juniors forwards Jessenia Marrero (Francis Lewis/Flushing, NY) and Daina-Marie Henry (Bergtraum/Brooklyn, NY) each scored 10 points to give the first place Bearcats five double-digit scorers. Henry and junior forward Melissa Freeman (Beach Channel/Far Rockaway, NY) led BC on the boards with seven a piece.
Senior forward Camille Manning led the home team with a game-high 22 points and senior center Nichola Hall accumulated a game-high 14 rebounds for City Tech.
