Forward Ashley Nekola had 17 points to lead all scorers and had seven rebounds. Forward Ann Mendenhall had 12 points and nine rebounds while guard Aimee Schmidt had 12 points and seven boards. Guard Morgan Martin had nine points and a game-high five assists.
The Dutch (6-9 overall, 3-4 conference) were without their top two centers. Cara Hegner remains sidelined by illness while her backup, Maria Weiler is out indefinitely because of injury. Loras (7-7 overall, 2-3 conference) was able to hold a 39-34 advantage on the boards as center Alicia Miller grabbed 11 rebounds. But Central limited the Duhawks to 26.4 percent shooting. The Dutch connected on 42.0 percent, and committed just 12 turnovers.
Central is home again Saturday, taking on Buena Vista at 4 p.m. at Kuyper Gym.
