Brooklyn 75, Polytechnic 44

Brooklyn, NY — The Brooklyn College Women got their ninth win of the season as they defeated Polytechnic University 75-44. Brooklyn jumped out to a 49-23 halftime lead behind 19 first half points from freshman point guard Jenny Varughese. Varughese finished the game with 20 points, 6 assists, and 6 steals. The team's 6 made three-pointers in the first half was a season high. Freshman guard Jaclyn Cavalcante knocked down two three-pointers and finished with 18 points on 8-11 from the field. Sophomore guard Irene Soulaides chipped in with a solid 8 points and 8 rebounds and sophomore forward Robin Green-Williamson scored 9 points and grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds. Polytechnic (1-12) was led by Marcy DeSio who scored 13 points and dished out 5 assists.
