Platteville, WI — #20 Wis.-Platteville defeated Simpson 73-43 in the semifinals of the Pioneer Tip-Off Tournament Nov. 19 in Platteville, Wis. Platteville's Mike Jameson made three steals in the first five Storm possessions, allowing the Pioneers to jump out to a 9-2 advantage and never looking back.

Wis.-Platteville limited Simpson to 33.3% shooting (17-51) on the night while forcing a total of 23 Storm turnovers. Four Pioneer players scored in double figures led by Jameson who had 12 points. Ryan Hittenmiller (Jr., Dyersville, Iowa, Beckman H.S.) led Simpson with 10 points. Jason Soppe (Jr., Dyersville, Iowa, Beckman H.S.) scored nine points and had six rebounds.

The Storm will play Washington (Mo.) in the third place game Nov. 20. The Bears lost to Robert Morris-Chicago 76-73 in the other semifinal Friday night.
