After an early Rams' lead, senior Katie Higier put the Violets (3-0) in front to stay with a three-pointer at the 16:05 mark. That basket spearheaded a 15-2 NYU run over the next five minutes.
The Violets' advantage grew to 41-17 at halftime and reached a game-high 33 points, 69-36, on a three-pointer by freshman Mary Kate Wilson with 7:45 remaining in the contest.
All 15 players who saw action for NYU scored. Wilson led the squad with 12 points, while sophomore Lauren Gorlaski added 10. Wilson also had eight rebounds, while freshman Jessica McEntee delivered a team-high nine rebounds and added nine points.
Junior Adrienne Rochetti pulled down a career-high seven rebounds to go with her seven points ans game-high five assists. Higier also finished with nine points.
Mercedes Miller led Farmingdale State (1-3) with 15 points. Rochelle Clark and Dankery Perez followed with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
It was the second straight game that the Violets played against the Rams. NYU also defeated Farmingdale State 64-60 in the NYU Tip-Off Championship game last Saturday.
