The loss ends Baruch's (16-6) winning streak at nine games, while Stevens Tech (14-6) extends their own winning streak to nine games.
The Ducks of Stevens Tech jumped out to a 10-point halftime lead (28-18), and continued to shoot very well into the second half to go ahead big at one time by the score of 46-24.
The Bearcats made a late run to cut the deficit to 63-51 with 2:14 left, but could get no closer as the Ducks finished the final two minutes with a 6-2 run.
Senior Jenna Gambino (Staten Island, N.Y./St. John Villa) scored 17 points to reach 1,000 career points for her Stevens Tech playing career. She also finished the game with 12 rebounds.
Dora Enright (Longmont, Colo./Longmont) scored 16 points and grabbed 18 rebounds.
For the Bearcats, Jessenia Marrero (Flushing, N.Y./Francis Lewis) led the way with 16 points, while Chiresse Paradise (Chicago, III./Rich Central) had 14 points and eight reboounds. Racquel Reid (Bronx, N.Y./Washington Irving) added 12 points and six rebounds.
The Bearcats will return to action this Wednesday with a Lexington Avenue clash against Hunter. Tip off in the ARC Arena is scheduled for 5:30 p.m
