Hunter College prevented their host, NYC College of Technology from earning a CUNYAC victory this season, with a 79-51 victory in closing out the Conference schedule for both teams.
The Hawks (13-11, 9-4) had all 11 players in the scoring column on the night, led by senior forward Jessica Proscia (Notre Dame / Staten Island, NY) with 15 points, followed by Jennifer Ithier (Manhattan Center / New York, NY) with 13 points and six assists and junior forward Krystin Suarez (St. John Villa / Staten Island, NY) with 11 points and six assists.
City Tech (4-20, 0-13 CUNYAC) was led by the backcourt tandem of sophomore Amanda Zieminski (Curtis / Staten Island, NY) and freshman Dyshea Smiley (Bronx Leadership / Bronx, NY). Zieminski notched a game-high 20 points, while Smiley had 11 points. Sophomore forward Mareena Creary (Midwood / Brooklyn, NY) added nine points and four steals, and sophomore center Evelyn Ravenel led the Yellow Jackets on the boards with nine rebounds, to go along with her six points.
NYCCT finishes up the 2005-06 season on Wednesday night, February 15, for a non-conference game versus SUNY-Farningdale at home (5:00 pm tip-off).
