Irving, TX — Megan McCallister's free throw with 9 seconds remaining proved to be the nail in the coffin for UD Lady Crusaders in the 64-67 home loss against the Colorado College Tigers on Friday night. Looking for their third straight victory and second in a row against the Tigers, UD trailed by eight at the intermission, 25-33. Completely refocused, the Crusaders came out of the break a different team offensively. UD shot 44.8% from the field in the second half after shooting a mere 24% in the first.
Unfortunately, the hot hands of the Crusaders weren't enough to hold of
the Tigers.

Junior guard Kelley Robertson (Eugene, OR) shot a season best 50% percent from the field, including 4-7(57%) from beyond the arc. Sophomore guard Shanie Cardinal (Houston, TX) chipped in 15 points, and junior forward Ana Castillo secured her tenth double-double of the season (17 points, 12 rebounds).

Melanie Auguste (19) and Paige Whitney (11) led the Tigers on the offensive end.

Next up for the 13-11 Lady Crusaders is a match-up with perennial independent powerhouse, Chapman University. Tip-off is slated for 1:00pm on Sunday, February 19.
