Indianola, Iowa — Simpson (12-3, 6-0 IIAC) used a 27-3 run to start the second half to defeat Cornell College (4-9, 2-2 IIAC) 75-47 Jan. 14 in Indianola. The Storm trailed 31-28 at halftime and were down 33-30 before mounting the game changing spurt. Tessa Van Oosbree scored eight of her 11 points in the game during the 8:42 span.

The Rams made 7-of-15 three-point attempts in the first half, but could only muster one three (in 12 attempts) in the second half. The Storm held Cornell to 30% (18-for-60) shooting in the game and only allowed six second half Ram field goals.

Katelyn Whiton led the Storm with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Sarah Pearson came off the bench and scored 12 points in 13 minutes for the Storm.

Cornell was led by Anna Skaggs who had 21 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Tiffany Cowan posted 10 reboudns and six points.
