Senior guard Jessenia Marrero (Flushing, N.Y./Francis Lewis) scored six points to increase her career total to 1,404 points, which is currently second-best in team history. She scored her 1,400th career point with a lay up at the 16:11 mark of the first half.
The Bearcats (12-5, 8-0 CUNYAC) defense notched 18 steals and limited the Cougars to shooting 32 percent (23-73). They also led by as much as 22 points with 14:40 remaining.
