Burkhart, Edwards join 1,000-point club
Hollis Edwards has firmly etched his name in the Adrian record book. The 6-1 senior guard recently surpassed the 1,000 point plateau. Edwards, who entered Adrian's Jan. 28 game against Olivet with 984 career points, scored a team-high 17 points to reach the milestone. He is the 14th player in Bulldog men's basketball history to score over 1,000 points and the first since 1990 (when Brent Kelley and Daryl Dittmer both topped the mark). He has played in just 66 games as a Bulldog, but he has averaged 15.2 points per contest and has been Adrian's top all-around player since his arrival.
Bradd Burkhart's game-high 22 points, including the 1,000th of his career, was not enough Jan. 28, as the Washington College men's basketball team lost at Ursinus 81-74. Burkhart's 22 gives him a current total of 1,002 points for his career. He is the 27th player to join the Washington College 1,000-point club.
