Springfield men improve to 16-1
Forward Phil Robinson led six players in double figures with 15 points as Springfield ran its winning streak to seven games with an easy 96-72 victory against city rival Western New England on Saturday at Blake Arena. The Pride improves its record to 16-1 overall and 8-0 in the Constitution Athletic Conference.
Center Benjamin Otis added 13 points and 9 rebounds. Guards Tom Keane and Ken Payette led the Golden Bears (1-15, 0-7) with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Springfield visits Coast Guard (10-7, 7-2) in an important CAC game Monday night in New London, Connecticut.
