Ursinus' Barrett sets Centennial scoring mark
Ursinus sophomore Richard Barrett set a Centennial Conference record with 43 points in the Bears' 70-65 win against Widener on Nov. 24 in Collegeville.
Barrett connected on 13 of 25 shots from the floor, including a Conference-record 8-for-16 from three-point range, while also making 9 of 13 free throws. He also had a game-high eight rebounds, blocked three shots and handed out two assists.
Barrett is just the third Centennial player to hit the 40-point plateau, joining Franklin and Marshall's Jerome Maiatico (42 vs. RPI, Jan. 9, 1998) and Muhlenberg's Mike Gramer (40 vs. Ursinus, Jan. 28, 1995).
