Buzzer beaters of the year

Concordia (Wis.) senior Luke Doedens banked in a 39-foot, one-footed, 3-point to beat the buzzer in regulation against Lakeland, while Steph Comer and Gustavus teammates and coaches celebrate her 40-footer.

The voting minions from Concordia (Wis.) blew the friendly competition away in the final hours and snatched Buzzer Beater of the Year right out from under Scranton as Luke Doedens' running one-handed shot won the D3hoops.com 2011-12 men's Buzzer Beater of the Year.

The women's vote was much less melodramatic, but the shot was no less dramatic as Gustavus Adolphus' Steph Comer sunk a 40-footer to tie the game at the end of regulation against Hamline. The Golden Gusties went on to win that game in overtime as well.
