  • Becker Chosen as Favorite in NECC Men's Basketball Coaches Poll

    Becker has been chosen to finish at the top of the 2012-13 NECC Men's Basketball standings in a vote by the leagues coaches. The Hawks, who have won an NCAA first round tournament game each of the past two seasons, received four first place votes and 71 points. Becker is unbeaten in NECC play over the past two seasons and two starters return from the squad that went 24-5 last year.

    An April appearance in the prestigious Portsmouth Invitational Tournament has paid off for two-time Augustana MVP Bryant Voiles. Voiles, who wrapped up his collegiate career this past winter, has been invited to a free agent tryout for the Orlando Magic. He leaves Sunday for the three-day workout, which runs from Monday through Wednesday.

    Lycoming College senior Jerald Williams (Riverdale, Md./Bladensburg) and junior Kevin Anthony (Columbus, Ohio/Bridgton Academy) wrapped up their time at the Four Nations Cup with the East Coast All Stars on Tuesday, July 31, as the team finished 1-2 in the four team tournament, which also featured the national teams of the Czech Republic, Georgia and Estonia.

    NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – Keith Hack, who most recently served as an assistant men's basketball coach at Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, N.Y., has been named to the same position at the State University of New York at New Paltz, as announced by the Department of Athletics, Wellness & Recreation. Hack will begin his duties on Aug. 6.

    LOUDONVILLE, NY ( | New Jersey City University sixth-year head men's basketball coach Marc Brown, considered the greatest player in Siena College men's basketball history, will come out of retirement on Thursday, July 19 when the all-time great dawns a Saints uniform for the first time in 21 years as a starting point guard for the inaugural Siena Legends game. The contest will be played in that school's 4,000 seat Alumni Recreation Center.

After an exhaustive search that involved more than 75 candidates, Edgewood College has named Justin Meyer the sixth head men's basketball coach in the school's history.

    MADISON, Wis. – Todd Adrian built a consistent winner at Edgewood College, and now he'll take up a similar challenge in the state of Ohio. Adrian announced he will resign as Edgewood College men's basketball head coach at the end of June to accept the same position at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. Adrian led the Eagles to a 97-65 record in six seasons including the first NCAA Tournament victory in school history last season.
