Leading by four at the 12:04 mark in the first half, the Panthers went on a 22-5 run to put the game away for good. They led 44-27 at the break and stretched the lead to as much as 24 in the second half before settling for a 15-point win.

Ferguson entered the game with 989 career points and after totaling seven in the first half, he scored the opening basket of the second half and then again on a layup at the 15:56 mark to become the 21st player in men's history to reach the 1,000-point plateau.

Pitt-Bradford only shot 39 percent from the floor, but hit seven three-pointers and went 11-15 from the free throw line. The Panthers dominated inside, outscoring the Kangaroos by 10 in the paint and holding a 47-43 advantage on the board. Pitt-Bradford scored 25 points off 20 Canton turnovers and limited the Kangaroos to 32 percent shooting.
