Keene State Men's Hoops Picked Second In LEC Preseason Poll

PAWTUCKET, R.I.--The Keene State College men's basketball program was chosen to finish second in the Little East Conference in a poll of the leagues coaches, it was announced today by the conference office.

The Owls received 49 points and one first place vote.  Defending regular season and tournament champion Eastern Connecticut State was picked to finish first, receiving 56 points and the remaining seven first place votes.

Keene State, which advanced to the national quarterfinals last year and received 44 points in the preseason poll, returns All-LEC junior guard Ty Nichols 18.3 ppg, 51.1 FG%, 4.8 apg), senior guard Dizel Wright (10.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg), and sophomore center Ben Olson.  The Owls open the season at Southern Vermont on November 15 at 7 p.m.
