Central takes surprising road to men's basketball title WAVERLY — An unprecedented three-game run through the Iowa Conference tournament culminated with the Central College men's basketball team beating Wartburg 92-80 in the title game Saturday and advancing to the 11th NCAA Division III Tournament in program history.
July 20, 2015 NWU gives up NAIA status, will join IIAC Nebraska Wesleyan, the lone remaining dual member of the NAIA and NCAA Division III, is giving up its NAIA affiliation effective July 2016 and joining the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference that fall.
