January 14, 2017 Fighting Scots Lock Down Hawks for 82-65 Victory WENHAM, Mass.—Gordon Men’s Basketball played its most complete game of the season, which saw four starters in double-figures to notch an 82-65 win over a blistering Roger Williams squad. Sam Johnson (Chatham, Mass.) captured his 11th double double of the season to lead the way for the Fighting Scots.
January 11, 2017 Scots Quiet Surging Nor'easters, 74-62 BIDDEFORD, Maine—Gordon Men’s Basketball ran its Commonwealth Coast Conference streak to two wins with a 74-62 result at the University of New England on Wednesday night at the Alfond Center. The Nor’easters erased a 16-point Gordon lead in the second half, but the Fighting Scots were the better team in the final quarter of regulation to pull off the all-important conference road victory.
December 8, 2016 Fighting Scots Joust Past Lancers, 77-61 WORCESTER, Mass.—Gordon continued its second-half surges to win its fourth consecutive game, 77-61 over host Worcester State. The Fighting Scots got another 20-point performance from sophomore Garrisson Duvivier (Brockton, Mass.) and Gordon avoided a lull in the first half to improve to 6-2 on the season. Worcester State remained winless at 0-8.
November 30, 2016 Scots Survive Conference Opener in Overtime WENHAM, Mass.—Sophomore Garrisson Duvivier (Brockton, Mass.) lit up the box score over the final 25 minutes of play as Gordon was able to stave off Eastern Nazarene 85-82 in overtime. The Fighting Scots controlled the glass on both ends of the floor for much of the night, but the Lions rode the hot hand of Josh Rice (Hanson, Mass.) in the second half to force overtime. Gordon did just enough in extra time to improve to 2-1 at the Bennett Center this season.
