Dave Jannuzzi
Jannuzzi helped Wilkes remain unbeaten with a pair of wins. He scored
26 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out seven assists in a 75-71
MAC Freedom road win at rival King's. He then scored 22 points and dished
out three helpers in an 80-71 win over Marymount University. Jannuzzi
hit 54% of his field goal attempts, and all 19 of his free throw attempts
during the two wins for the 7-0 Colonels.
Daniel Waguespack
Waguespack broke the 20-point barrier
in three Millsaps victories. He scored 25 points at Loyola, 21 points
against Pensacola Christian, and 28 points against Emory. In addition,
he posted 11 steals (3.7 per game) and 15 rebounds (5.0), while shooting
30-for-52 (57.7%) from the floor and 8-for-9 from three-point range (88.9%).
Joe Nixon
Nixon averaged 32.5 points in two games, including a career-high 33 points
in an 86-84 win against Franklin. The junior hit the game-winning shot
with just 5.5 seconds left.
Robert Ayers
Ayers averaged 23.3 points and 7.7
rebounds in a 2-1 week for Frostburg. The junior posted his first double-double
of the season with 23 points and 10 boards in a loss to Shenandoah; shot
a combined 19-for-23 and poured in 47 points in a pair of conference wins.
Travis Schwab
Schwab led the Bishops with 23 points
and 8 rebounds in knocking off unbeaten Wittenberg, then added 6 points
during a 14-0 second-half burst that broke open an 87-60 NCAC win against
Oberlin. Schwab led the Bishops with 25 points and added 11 rebounds.
Heidi Burkhart
Burkhart helped a team with vitually
no bench to a 1-1 week, narrowly losing the one game. The junior scored
62 points in the two games, shooting 5-for-7 from three-point range and
17-for-21 from the line. She had 11 steals and 10 rebounds, shooting 52.6%
from the floor.
Nicole Prazeau
Led George Fox to two wins, leading
the team in scoring both games. The junior posted a career-high 27 points
in first game of the week, finishing 9-for-16 from three-point range in
the two games. She grabbed 10 rebounds and four steals while committing
only two turnovers.
Kari Groshek
Groshek recorded her second double-double of the season in win against
UW-Whitewater, posting 18 points and 12 rebounds. The junior shot 12-for-16
from the floor for the week.
Kendra Meyer
The senior was two assists short of a triple-double in a 99-74 win against
Muskingum, posting 17 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists.
Karyn Kern
Kern scored a season-high 25 points
on 11-for-14 shooting and grabbed 14 rebounds in Susquehanna' 64-52 win
against Moravian and followed with 14 points and a season-best 18 boards
in the Crusaders' 67-65 win against Allentown. Kern leads the Crusaders
at 16.9 points and 11.9 rebounds per game.
