Alex Denson
Became 26th player to surpass 1,000 career points with 19 vs. Huston-Tilloton.
Had 32 points (22 in deciding second half) with eight rebounds, two assists
and two steals in win over SW Assemblies of God. Helped team defeat rival
Hardin-Simmons on the road 126-105 on Saturday with 30 points (28 in the
first half), six rebounds, two assists and 4 steals. McMurry went 3-0
for the week.
Shawn Kindred
Kindred scored 17 points and shared
team lead with 7 rebounds in an NCAC win over Kenyon, then shared team
lead with 19 points and dished out 8 assists in an 87-79 loss at Wittenberg.
The freshman shot 7-for-13 from three-point range and posted an 11-to-6
assist-to-turnover ratio.
Joel Kolmodin
The Wheaton freshman averaged 18.7 points per game and 10 rebounds in
three games last week. Kolmodin grabbed 10 offensive rebounds last week.
He shot 67% (20-for-30) from the field and was 5-for-5 from three-point
range, while shooting 79% (11-for-14) from the free-throw line, helping
lead Wheaton to the Whittier College Poet Classic championship. In the
tournament's championship game, a 74-56 win over Whittier, he scored a
game-high 22 points with 10 rebounds on 8-for-12 shooting from the field.
Mark Lesko
Lesko had double-doubles in all three
games on the week, averaging 27.0 points and 11.3 rebounds while shooting
58.2% from the field. He scored 36 points vs. Albright (second game this
season with 35+ points). Named to the All-Tournament Team of Moravian's
tournament, blocking four shots against Grove City in the opening round
and adding 17 points and 13 boards against Moravian in championship.
Justin Muth
Muth poured
in 33 pts on 10-for-16 shooting and 13-for-17 from the free-throw line
and bring down 10 boards against Luther, then against Augsburg the following
night Justin scored 21 points on 9-for-17 shooting and 3-for-4 from the
line. He also grabbed 14 boards, dished out two assists, two blocks, and
two steals.
Alisa DiBonaventura
DiBonaventura was named the MVP of the
Frostburg State/Don Parsons Invitational, notching a career-high 26 points
and nine assists in the 100-75 championship-game victory against Frostburg.
She averaged 19 points, 9.5 assists and 7.5 rebounds in the two games.
Mollie Fitzgerald
Fitzgerald led the Tigers to two conference
wins averaging 22 points on 16-for-34 shooting, 7-for-14 from three-point
range. The sophomore averaged 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals.
Jessica Atkinson
Atikinson helped Hendrix stay in the hunt for its fourth SCAC title, averaging
16 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 68.2% from the floor.
Kristyn Grassi
Grassi was MVP of Grand Canyon Classic on Dec. 28-29, with 18 points and
a career-high 18 rebounds in a 76-60 win over Ramapo. The junior added
17 and 13 in a 79-75 win against Puget Sound. Has helped ECSU to 7-1 start
for second consecutive year.
Carry Boehning
Boehning had 19 points and nine rebounds
in an 83-81 upset of No. 3 UW-Eau Claire, shooting 7-for-14 from the field
while committing just one turnover. She added 26 points and 12 boards
in a 76-61 win over UW-Platteville on 9-for-16 shooting, plus 8-for-8
from the line.
