J.D. Byers
Byers averaged 28.5 points and 7.5 assists for the Flying Dutchmen in
the final week of the regular season. In LVC’s 85-82 double-overtime
playoff-clinching victory over Messiah, Byers erupted for a career-high
41 points, including a half-court buzzer-beater at the end of the first
overtime to force a second overtime. He also set a new school record with
eight 3-pointers against the Falcons.
Casey Stitzel
Stitzel averaged 28.5 points and 2.5 rebounds for the Pioneers. A threat
from the outside, he connected on 21 of 33 shots from the field, including
14 of 19 from beyond the arc.(73.7%). Stitzel tied the school record with
eight 3-pointers against Albright and hit seven in a row en route to a
game-high 27 points.
A.H. Davis
Davis averaged 22.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.5 assists as
the Tomcats earned victories over Bethany and Waynesburg to lock up the
PAC regular-season championship.
Zareh Avedian
Over the last four games, Avedian is averaging 31 points, seven rebounds,
2.8 assists, 2.5 blocks, and a steal, including a 42 point performance
in a 102-96 win against visiting Redlands.
Sean O'Reilley
The Earlham senior forward averaged 23 points, nine rebounds, four assists,
and 3.5 steals per game, scoring a career-high 30 points against Kenyon.
For the week O'Reilley shot 53% from the field and 80% from the free throw
line.
Cheryl Kulesa
Kulesa averaged 24.5 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4.5 steals in
two games for Rutgers-Camden. Topping off the week, Kulesa was named a
First Team Verizon Academic All-District II and honored as one of the
10 finalists for the Jostens Trophy.
Jen Bengel
Bengel averaged 27.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game in
two contests this week while notching 24 of 25 attempts at the charity
stripe. She tallied 24 points and 11 rebounds in a tough loss to Ursinus
on Thursday. Bengel then notched a career-high 31 points and four assists
along with 14 rebounds in a victory against Dickinson on Saturday.
Taylor Cook
Rhodes freshman Taylor Cook averaged 25.0 points a game, and nailed 17
of 28 shots from the field and 12 of 13 from the free throw line (92.3%)
to lead the Lynx to a weekend sweep of Sewanee and Centre. She did this
in just 28 minutes of play a night.
Lisa Masella
Masella averaged 23.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week while shooting
70.8% from the field and 75% from the foul line for the Golden Bears.
She had her sixth double-double of the season with 25 points and 14 rebounds
against Emerson.
Sarah Walsh
Colby senior Sarah Walsh averaged 17 points, 17 rebounds, 6.5 assists
and 5.5 steals in two games last week. On Tuesday, she became the first
Colby woman to record 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career.
