Thomas helped No. 23 Montclair State remain unbeaten in a 2-0 week. Thomas
had 24 points and seven rebounds, four assists and three steals as Montclair
defeated Mass-Dartmouth in overtime, their second consecutive OT win.
Thomas then had 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists as Montclair
beat New Jersey and improved to 6-0 in the NJAC this season.
Ryan Hepp
Hepp averaged 24 points, 5.0 assists and 2.5 steals in a 2-0 week for
Willamette.
Anthony Fitzgerald
Fitzgerald collected a Division III season-high 24 rebounds and team leading
22 points while shooting .688 from the field in the Mustangs' 81-68 win
against John Jay. Anthony is currently second in Division III in rebounds
with 13.7 per game. He went 26-for-44 in a three-game week.
Jared Mills
Mills totaled game-highs of 22 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocked shots
in a 59-57 win against Emory & Henry, shooting 8-for-11 from the floor
(72.7%) and 5-for-5 from the foul line. In a win against Guilford, Mills
scored 18 points, including six of eight foul shots, and grabbed four
rebounds. In two games this past week, he averaged 20 points, seven rebounds,
two blocked shots, and 1.5 steals per contest.
Steve Juskin
In three wins last week, Juskin averaged 17.6 points per game, 8.0 rebounds
and 4.0 blocked shots as the Diplomats improved to 11-1, 2-0 in Centennial
Conference play. He tallied 17 points against Goucher on 7-for-11 from
the field, pulled down six rebounds and blocked five shots in an 82-49
win. Three days later, he chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and five blocks
as the Diplomats routed host Alvernia 101-61. He concluded the week versus
McDaniel draining 11 of 18 from the field for 22 points with 10 rebounds
to pace a 93-56 win.
J.Q. Stewart
Stewart helped keep Concordia undefeated and on top of the standings in
the LMC. In two conference games this past week, Stewart averaged 18 points
on 14-23 shooting, 6.5 steals, 5.5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1.5 blocks
per contest. Stewart recorded her first double-double of the season in
a 78-67 win against Marian with 29 points and 11 steals.
Amanda Swanson
Swanson led Thiel to a 2-0 week, averaging 22.0 points, 8.0 rebounds,
6.0 assists and 6.0 steals. She scored a season-high 30 points in Thiel's
77-59 victory over LaRoche and tallied her third double-double of the
season (14 pts., 10 rebs.) in the Tomcats 73-51 win at Penn State-Behrend.
Meghan Squires
Squires helped lead the Golden Eagles to three wins in three games in
the week, to give Brockport a five-game winning streak. She had 34 points,
20 rebounds and 10 blocks in wins against D'Youville and conference rivals
Oswego and Utica/Rome. Squires, who had seven blocks in the win at Utica/Rome,
was 15-for-30 (50%) from the floor on the week.
Stephanie Mathews
Mathews, a converted point guard, averaged 12 points, 8.5 rebounds, and
two assists in the Royals victories over Washington & Lee and Bridgewater.
Mathews recorded her fifth double-double of the season this week in the
Royals' 67-63 win against Bridgewater when she scored 12 points and pulled
down 10 rebounds to help the Royals pick up their ninth win of the season.
Shelly Ulfig
Ulfig had a career-high 32 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and had five
assists in 83-71 win over Kalamazoo, then scored 16 points with nine rebounds
in 59-56 win at Albion on Jan. 8. Ulfig shot 13-for-21 from the floor
and 22-for-28 from the line.
