Tiffany Crippen
Crippen played every possible minute in the Bloodhounds’ three games
last week, 125 in total, which included an overtime session against Hunter,
their first of three wins for the week. Crippen knocked down 20 points,
9.5 assists, 8 steals, and 6.5 assists for the Sniffers.
Heather
Kessler
Kessler averaged 24.5 points in two games for the Spartans, dishing four
assists and 2.5 steals as well. For the week, the junior shot 54% from
the field, and better than 50% from beyond the arc.
Shawndra
McDonald
McDonald hit for 26 points per game. The senior also dished 7.5 assists
while corralling 4.5 boards and 2.5 steals.
Taylor Cook
In two contests, Cook averaged 36.5 points for the Lady Lynx. The sophomore
propelled Rhodes to a 116-113, triple overtime victory over Oglethorpe.
Cook also grabbed eight rebounds, five steals, and blocked three shots.
Alicia Davis
Davis recorded a triple double in an upset win over Simpson, accumulating
15 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 blocks. Davis was practically unstoppable
from the field, nailing 20 of her 28 field goal attempts.
Cedric Isom
Isom connected on 50% of his field goal attempts guiding the Tigers to
a must win against conference-leading UT-Dallas. He averaged just under
20 points and 10 boards while giving 4.5 assists and taking 3.5 steals
in the two games.
Dennis Stanton
Stanton set a Centennial Conference single-game record with 55 points
in the Bears' 104-92 win against No. 14 Franklin & Marshall. He made
a conference-record 10 3-pointers and also tied the league mark by hitting
all 19 free throw attempts. Stanton also tossed in 21 markers vs. Washington,
giving him 38.0 points per game for the week. Stanton shot 42% from the
floor and 39% from 3-point range.
Santo
Provenzano
Just a freshman, Provenzano paced Hood with 25.6 points and 7.6 rebounds
in three games and has now scored 20 or more points in five consecutive
games.
Trayvon
Lathan
Lathan played all but 10 minutes in the Braves’ three games last
week and averaged 22 points, 9.7 rebounds, and four assists in a 1-2 bill
for Chowan.
Gian
Paul Gonzalez
Gonzalez averaged 24.3 points and 11.7 rebounds in leading the Red Hawks
to a 3-0 week with wins over New Jersey City, Staten Island, and Lehman.
The biggest impact Gonzalez made was at the foul line, hitting 28 of 35
attempts.
