Tyler Franklin Franklin rejoined the Lions in January and has paid dividends for
coach Armon Gilliam. In a 1-2 week, Franklin averaged 24.3 points, 7.7
rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
Walky Maglorie
Maglorie averaged 24.3 points per game shooting a blistering 62% from
the field over three games. His best effort came when the freshman nailed
12 of 16 shots from the field in a three-point upset win over Wheaton
(Mass.).
Jarrett Kearse
Kearse scored a school record 54 points in a 101-83 win over Hood. The
senior averaged 30 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in a four-game
week.
Jeff Prebeck
The freshman scored 27 points and corralled 20 rebounds while adding four
blocks in Coast Guard’s upset of then 24th ranked WPI. For the week,
Prebeck averaged 24 points and 15.5 boards.
Chris Comino
Comino tallied back-to-back double-doubles for Cazenovia averaging 29
points and 13 rebounds in two NEAC wins over Keuka and Polytechnic.
Ashley Edwards
Edwards had a spectacular week in three games for the Tornadoes, pacing
the funnel clouds with 28.3 points, 10 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and two
steals per game.
Katy Herr
The 5-4 Kerr led Bridgewater to a pair of victories last week, averaging
a double-double with 14.5 points and 10 rebounds per game, adding an average
of five steals and 3.5 assists. Working the point, Herr turned the ball
over just three times in 64 minutes of play and hit a pair of free throws
with .1 remaining to lift the Eagles over Virginia Wesleyan.
Kami Collins
Collins capped a big week for Howard Payne with 11.5 points and 16.5 rebounds
per game in blowout wins against McMurry and nationally ranked Hardin
Simmons. Her 17 points and 17 rebounds against HSU was her seventh double-double
of the season.
Lauren Stroot
Stroot led the Regals to a SCIAC victory over Redlands with 23 points,
including the game-winner with 4.3 seconds left to play. Stroot had 28
points, seven rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game.
Hallie Hutchens
Hutchens averaged 20.5 points, 10 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 2.5 assists and
two steals per game in crucial road victories for the Bears. With two
free throws against Case Western Reserve, Hutchens joined the 1,000 point
club.
